Ayurvedic health consultation 

The consultation which includes the pulse diagnosis lasts 45 minutes and further includes:

  • prakriti (dosha type) and vikriti (dosha imbalance) analysis
  • Ayurvedic diet guidelines for following 1-3 months
  • personalized recommendations for daily routine
  • a plan of further Ayurvedic therapies / treatments 

On the day of the appointment the clients are advised to refrain from coffee, alcoholic beverages and narcotics, because they impede adequate diagnostic.

Nor pulse diagnosis nor treatments should be done during the menstrual cycle.

Abhyanga

Abhyanga a warm oil massage that is quite different from the Western notion of massage.

With Abhyanga the aim is to push the oil into the pores of the skin with long strokes on the long bones and circular motions on the joints. The qualities of warm oil are the opposite of Vata and so calm and pacify the nervous system via the bodies largest organ, the skin.

Shirodhara

This is a rejuvenating and purifying therapy which involves gentle pouring of therapeutic oils over the third eye. It mainly aims at the physical and emotional balance by rejuvenating the spirit and preserving health. This includes massage of head and shoulders and is one of the major treatments in Ayurveda to reduce the mental stresses of daily life and tension headaches. Highly recommended in insomnia.

Garshana

Lymphatic Ayurvedic Massage

Garshana is a Sanskrit word meaning, “dry brushing”, which for us refers to a treatment where raw silk gloves are used to perform a dry skin brushing with light, vigorous strokes

Mukha Abhyanga  / Facelift 

Mukha refers to the face During an Ayurvedic face massage, sometimes also called Ayurvedic facelift massage, the sweeping upwards movements and the stimulation of Marma points on the face help to rejuvenate and brighten the complexion. Pinda Sweda – Ilakizhi / Podikizhi

 During Pinda Sweda treatment  small muslin bags filled with a specially prepared mixture are applied locally to relieve the muscle stiffness, swelling and pains. 

Highly recommended in joint conditions like frozen shoulder. It is also a wonderful relaxation massage which helps in the detoxification and helps dry skin.

Shiroabyanga or Ayurvedic Head Massage

Udwarthana

Ayurvedic Anti Cellulite Treatment or Powder Massage: This is a combination of Udwarthana (Powder Massage) and Abyanga. Herbal powders are mixed with  Ayurvedic oils or only dry powders are massaged into the skin.  ( Depends of Dosha )

Kati  Basti 

A specialised method of maintaining a pool of medicated oil at certain temperature on the lower back for a period of time. The boundaries of the pool are maintained by dough prepared from black gram/wheat gram. Effective in conditions like; lower back pain (Lumbago),lumbar spondylitis, inter vertebral disc prolapse, sciatica etc.

Janu Basti 

Janu Basti means a treatment in which medicated oil is poured and pooled for a fixed duration of time in a compartment or a cabin constructed around the knee joint / joints using wet flour of black gram.

In simple words, Janu Basti is a pain relieving oil-pooling treatment conducted for knee joint pain caused due to many causes

Swedana  Detox 

Ayurvedic Steam Bath Therapy is a procedure which is used to induce sweating. The therapy uses steam generated from medicated herbal decoctions to induce sweat or perspiration. The objective of the therapy is to dilute the channels of the body to detach the toxins out of the body. This therapy is ideal to establish a state of balance and also promote general health and well-being.

This therapy is extremely beneficial for relieving excess doshas from the body and establishing a state of balance. It also provides relief from muscles aches and pains, removes any blockages of channels of the body, rejuvenates the skin and detoxifies the body.
